Shahid Online – Timothée Chalamet has once again proven his place among Hollywood’s finest. At the 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, Timothée Chalamet took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. This victory cements his growing reputation as one of the most talented actors of his generation.
In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Timothée Chalamet expressed his gratitude to his mother and the legendary musician he portrayed, Bob Dylan. However, what stood out the most was his bold statement about his aspirations:
“I know we are in a subjective business, but I am truly striving to be the best. People may not say it often, but I want to be one of the greatest!”
The actor further acknowledged the icons who have inspired him, including Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando, Viola Davis, Michael Jordan, and Michael Phelps. He described the SAG Award as motivation to keep pushing himself toward greatness.

At 29 years old, Timothée Chalamet has become the youngest actor ever to win Best Actor at the SAG Awards, a feat that echoes Adrien Brody’s historic win as the youngest Oscar** winner for Best Actor.
His victory at the SAG Awards places him among this year’s strongest contenders for the Academy Awards. He is competing against some of the industry’s most respected names, including Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Daniel Craig (Queer), and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice), whose Oscar nomination has sparked controversy.
This SAG Award marks Timothée Chalamet’s first individual win after previous nominations for Call Me by Your Name (2017) and Beautiful Boy (2018). He was also recognized for ensemble performances in Lady Bird (2017), Don’t Look Up (2021), A Complete Unknown, and even for his early TV work in Homeland (2013).
However, while this victory solidifies his standing in Hollywood. It might not impact the Oscars as much as fans hope voting for the Academy Awards closed on February 18, two days before the SAG Awards ceremony. With the Oscars fast approaching, will this win fuel momentum for Timothée Chalamet, or will another contender take home the golden statuette?
