Shahid Online – The Naked Gun is back and it’s louder, sillier, and proudly more ridiculous than ever. If you glanced at the film’s synopsis, you might assume you’re in for a straight-laced crime thriller. But longtime fans know better: The Naked Gun has never been about logic or seriousness. Instead, it doubles down on the absurdity, embracing a world where nothing and no one is safe from parody.
The reboot, directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, throws subtlety out the window in favor of rapid-fire gags, visual puns, and outrageous slapstick. While it doesn’t quite recapture the flawless chaos of the original created by David Zucker and starring Leslie Nielsen, the new The Naked Gun brings a much-needed jolt of comedic energy back to Hollywood’s often-too-safe comedy landscape.
At its heart, The Naked Gun isn’t trying to be smart it’s trying to be funny. And it mostly succeeds. Whether it’s a man desperate for a bathroom, a bird airlifting a full-grown adult, or over-the-top disguises that defy logic, the film thrives on nonsense. It also doesn’t shy away from pop culture references, with nods to Black Eyed Peas, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Sex and the City scattered throughout like confetti.

Not every joke lands, and some gags do overstay their welcome, but the sheer volume of humor ensures that laughs keep coming. The commitment to chaos is admirable and, in its own dumb way, kind of brilliant.
One of the film’s greatest strengths lies in its cast. Liam Neeson, best known for his gruff action roles, delivers his lines with such deadpan seriousness that it amplifies the absurdity. Surrounding him is a cast fully aware of the film’s ridiculous tone, and that self-awareness is what makes the humor work.
The Naked Gun may not redefine comedy, but it doesn’t need to. It’s a reminder that laughter doesn’t have to be clever to be effective sometimes, it just needs to be loud, dumb, and completely unashamed.
